Eboni Hayes

Cheers! I’m Eboni Hayes, originally a Washingtonian but now I’m a Southern girl! I have worked for BMW for 5 years and have relocated 3 times to contribute to the success of dealerships. And while I thoroughly enjoy my work, I know my passion lies in the wine industry.

Almost 10 years ago, my aunt was in the process of opening a wine bar and I was her first employee! I set meetings, spoke with Distributors, and of course taste tested. Unfortunately, the wine bar fell through but my interest in wine was sparked. I then took a position in a high-end restaurant in Georgia. The restaurant was well known and hosted large, VIP functions during The Masters golf tournament. Our Chef would send us to a weeklong wine crash course, so we were well equipped to suggestively sell. The class was highly informational, and I was able to hone my skills. It was at that time that my interest turned to love.

Fast forward to now, and I take yearly trips to Napa for Harvest season. I also have been joining in Zoom calls with Vintners, Bloggers, and Journalists. This has helped me to realize I’m ready to live and walk in my purpose. And the WOTVS scholarship is going to help my dreams come true!
