Evmorfia Kostaki

2021 Master of Wine Scholarship Winner - Greece

Evmorfia Kostaki is a viticulturist and winemaker from Samos, Greece.

Growing up, she enjoyed spending time in the vineyards and always knew that wine was her calling, so she passionately began learning as much as she could about it.

After receiving a BA degree in Chemistry in Athens (GR) in 2017, she obtained a M.Sc. in Viticulture and Enology, from the universities of Montpellier (FR), Bordeaux (FR), Udine (IT) and Davis (USA) in 2019. In 2020 she received her WSET Diploma and enrolled at the Institute of Masters of Wine, where she is awaiting her Stage 1 exam results.

In order to achieve a global overview of the wine industry, Evmorfia has visited over 120 wineries in 10 countries.

Evmorfia is now taking the vast experience that she has gained and putting it into practice by stepping out on her own and developing a new winery in Samos from the ground up.

Her goal is to change the world’s perception of the Moschato grape and to put Samos on the map by creating high-quality wine that reflects her organic vineyards.
