Lauren King

Lauren is the Sr. Manager of Wine Education at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. In this role, Lauren supports the direct-to-consumer team through dynamic wine education to enhance the world-class consumer experiences across the SMWE properties.  She also oversees the WSET certification program for all internal employees and assists with digital communications and PR engagements. Before SMWE, Lauren was a wine brand ambassador with Pernod Ricard and has held various roles in the wine and restaurant industry in Dallas, Los Angeles, Florida and the New York area.
 
Lauren is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Hospitality Management and previously attended culinary school. She is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. She holds a WSET III certificate with distinction and is currently studying for the Certified Cicerone exam. Lauren is originally from the Bay Area and recently moved to the Pacific Northwest in Seattle. She loves being active and spending time outdoors hiking and camping (a big reason for her move to the PNW!). In her spare time she enjoys throwing pottery, yoga, baking and brewing beer.
