Jennifer Pyle
Jennifer Pyle has been involved in Food & Beverage ever since she was a teenager making cheesesteaks at a sandwich shop in the Philadelphia suburbs. She eventually worked her way up in the industry through server and bartender positions to management roles through persistence and determination, learning about wine as she went. Jennifer has directed the beverage programs at both Bar Ferdinand and Paramour in Philadelphia, PA and is currently a manager at The Hawthorn Bottle Shop and Tasting room in Helena, Montana, where the focus is on small production, natural wines. Jennifer is currently enrolled as a WSET diploma student and hopes to eventually gain admission to the Masters of Wine program. Her passions include the wines of South Africa, researching and writing, and sharing her knowledge and love of wine through the teaching and mentoring of others.
“I am excited, honored, humbled, and beyond grateful for this scholarship. I have been working extra hours at a second job in order to enroll in the WSET diploma program. Winning this scholarship will now allow me to channel more time and energy into my studies and into pursuing my dreams. Thank you for your continued support and empowerment of women in the beverage industry!”
