Alexa Rodriguez

Alexa Rodriguez, Student, Florida International University

Alexa Rodriguez is a senior at Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, where she is pursuing her undergraduate degree in hospitality with a focus on beverage management. She is the president of FIU’s Wine Guild, and she is also a teaching assistant for a Global Beverage Introduction course. Recently, Alexa joined Bacardi as their On-Premise Customer Solutions intern, where she is excited to be learning about beverage trends and data analytics. Before joining Bacardi, Alexa had the opportunity to dive into the world of beverage operations when she interned with Carnival Cruise Lines.  

In addition to her work and studies, Alexa enjoys taking part in industry events and competitions. Last year, she participated in the Bar Project 2021, and her team was awarded first place in the Innovation Challenge. Their bar concept was then brought to life at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Earlier this year, she was awarded first place in the Seafood and Bacardi Cocktail Competition, as well as in the Lavazza Cold Brew Cocktail and Mocktail Competition. Her winning recipes were featured at the Deering Estate Seafood Festival and the US Open, respectively. Alexa is eager to continue learning about wine and spirits, and she looks forward to exploring ways in which she can incorporate her love of languages, culture, and sustainability with her passion for beverages.
