I'm a wine educator who teaches WSET and Wine Scholar Guild courses and leads private tastings. I also write the blog for our wine academy. Wine became a passion while I was doing a master's degree in Spain. That passion became a career when I began helping the Spanish and Latin American wine industries translate their content into English. To get to know the trade better, I worked in various retail stores and helped during harvest in Jumilla. I'm an avid traveler and language geek, having studied many. There is nothing more fascinating to me than learning about the history, culture, language, customs, food, and landscape of a place. Wine is the epitome of that, so I bundle all this together to present to students. I want to get them as excited about the wine world as I am! It's ever-changing and always challenging. That's what gets me up in the morning. I have a goal of getting more people from the Latinx community in the Twin Cities area involved in wine. Wine is made in their countries of origin or heritage, and they should have the opportunity to proudly represent that.
¡Estoy en la luna! I'm over the moon about receiving this scholarship! The more wine knowledge I can gain, the more I can share; in English and in Spanish.
