Jess Forster is a Certified Sommelier and Advanced Candidate through CMS-A. She has worked her way through various front-of-house roles over the course of her restaurant career in Buffalo, including general manager and sommelier at well-known restaurants in downtown Buffalo. Hospitality is at the core of everything she does. Jess loves to extol the virtues of well-made wines from all over the world, especially the classics and everything Champagne. Now as partner & wine director of Waxlight Bar a Vin, she is excited to share her love of fermented grape juice in all its various forms to all who walk through Waxlight’s doors.
I am honored to have been chosen as a recipient of the WOTVS Fuel Your Dreams Scholarship. Learning, studying, traveling all for wine has been my focus for the past 6 years. Now that I am a partner in my own business, sometimes personal ambitions are set aside. This award will help me continue to broaden my knowledge of the world of wine & spirits, so that I may give it back back to my community.
