Charity Potter

2022 Fuel Your Dreams Award Winner - CA

I've been enjoying working in hospitality for ten years. Originally I educated myself on wine and spirits to thrive at work, but quickly discovered my passion for it. I love expanding my knowledge and sharing it with others!

Eight years into my beverage journey I was diagnosed as bipolar. Each year since working with guests to provide them an amazing experience has become increasingly difficult. I could not imagine walking away from the industry but realized I am no longer capable of providing the level of service I aspire to.

I've decided to redirect my passion into production. I'm looking forward to learning and working behind the scenes to grow and make wine and spirits sustainably and regeneratively. I hope to always be a student of beverages and able to share my passion for it.

My other joys are spending time with my cats, knitting, and enjoying my husband's cooking (I love him for more than his ability in the kitchen - I promise!).

I am incredibly moved and thankful to be one of the receipients of WOTVS Fuel Your Dreams Scholarship. With this scholarship I can begin a new future within an old passion. For a long while I have not been able to thrive, but now I've been given the materials to change that. Thank you for seeing my potential and fueling my hope.
