Chelsea Nichols
Chelsea Nichols is a burgeoning member of the wine and spirits industry. She currently works at Michter’s Fort Nelson Distillery in Louisville, KY as a distillery associate. This scholarship will go toward funding a graduate certificate in distilled spirits business from the University of Louisville.
Nichols found herself drawn to the industry after working in the wine and spirits department at Kroger. In 2015, she enrolled in the Academy of Spirits and Fine Service, a course developed by Southern Wine and Spirits University. In 2018, she joined the second cohort at The Ideal Bartender School, an educational effort provided by Copper & Kings American Brandy Company. That same year Nichols accepted a part-time events role with Old Forester Distillery.
It is her goal to learn the ins and out of the business side of running a distillery.
