Chelsea Young
Kathleen “Chelsea” Young has been working in the service industry for over a decade. As a native of Atlanta, she has thrived in restaurants as diverse as the city she calls home. In 2011 she fell in love with Atlanta’s emerging cocktail scene. She soon was hired at Hugh Acheson’s new restaurant, Empire State South, and her interest in wine was kindled. This swiftly became a love of wine while employed at Ecco, Barcelona Wine Bar, and eventually Crú Food & Wine Bar. At Crú, Chelsea truly began her educational journey with both Court of Master Sommeliers and Wine & Spirit Educational Trust. All the while progressing from bartender, to sommelier, and eventually into management. As a classically trained dancer, Chelsea has always had a drive to share her passions with others and this has carried into her love of viticulture. She finds the most joy in expanding her knowledge and imparting it in a weekly wine class for her staff.
