Tracy Cryder

Tracy has spent more than 15 years in the technology industry. She is passionate about championing women in the field of data science and supports initiatives that drive career advancement for women in technology. She carries this passion into the brewing and distillation industry; and has found that being a woman and also an accomplished home-brewer, puts her in a unique and important position to connect with other women in the field as a friend, confidant, and mentor. Tracy is thrilled to be accepted into the Portland State University Business of Craft Brewing Program, and believes it is a key pillar in expanding her knowledge of the industry, and connecting with other women and encouraging their careers in brewing.

"I'm honored to receive the 2019 Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation scholarship and so proud to be able to champion diversity in brewing. My dream is to empower women in a male-dominated field and fundamentally shift the current mindset that women aren't strong enough to brew - or that it involves too much math and science. I'm delighted to embrace the diversity that women bring to brewing, and I want to share that story in our industry and my community."
